1. To explain complex subject matter in simple terms that anyone can understand.
We created an approach that is easy for students learning this for the first time. How? We gathered all the difficulties we experienced in class, along with the questions & roadblocks our students encountered. We then made lesson plans that would eliminate those difficulties before they happened.

2. To help you learn by understanding, not by memorizing.
We want you to know not only what is happening, but why it is happening.

3. To make a scary subject unscary - and to show you that anyone can do it.
We were once told that organic chemistry was the worst class we would ever take, and that we'd be lucky just to get a B. To our surprise, we did well and discovered a great way to teach the material in the process. We know how stressful this subject can be, and we are here to show you that it doesn't have to be.

4. Because we love teaching and want to give back.
A genetics professor once told us that "information is worth nothing unless it can be passed on." She was referring to the heritability of DNA and the genetic code, but we find this is just as applicable to teaching/learning. We feel fortunate to have been educated by our teachers and tutors, and unless we can pass this information on to you, we are not fulfilling our academic responsibility.

5. Because the demand for tutoring outweighs the supply.
We constantly see students in search of tutoring come up empty handed - either because there are not enough quality tutors available, tutoring doesn't fit their schedule, or because tutoring is too expensive. By making CrackOChem an online resource, an unlimited amount of students can have access to tutoring anytime and at any place.
